Our Trip to Disney World!

We took a trip to Disney World during Thanksgiving week. We had lots of fun and enjoyed meeting up with all of our family from Massachusetts. The weather was beautiful, which made it really hard to come back to cold, gray Ohio. Dan says we don't need to go there again for at least 5 years, but Luke is already planning our next trip. He calls it "Mickey Mouse's castle". We'll see you wins that! Here are just a few of our many pictures!!

Christmas 2007

The past month has been very crazy and probably like everyone else (it seems to be going around) we have all been sick for the past couple of weeks. Everyone is healthy for the time being and enjoying our very cold winter. Poor Dan is actually working outside in the freezing cold. The good news is that it won't be forever! The kids are growing, Grant is trying to build up the courage to take some steps, and Luke is excited to be so close to all of his cousins! Here are a LOT of pictures of our Holiday season. We enjoyed being with all of our family, but felt a huge void with not having my Dad around. We miss him a lot! He was our photographer and always sat back and found joy in watching everyone's excitement over the gifts. It was not the same without him, but we have found strength and comfort in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not that that takes all the sadness away, but it helps! Luke loved everything about Christmas and felt pretty overwhelmed (although he LOVED being spoiled) with all of the gifts that he got from his Grandparents. Dan and I put most of the ones that we had gotten him away for his birthday because he had way too many. Grant didn't know what to think, so he was grateful for his brother's help in opening presents and enjoyed playing with the toys once they were opened. We went back and forth between my Mom's house and Dan's parents' house for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which was exhausting, but very fun! We need to figure out a new plan for next year, although we love spending time with both families and enjoy the traditions that both have. We wish you all a Happy New Year!

Grammy and her grandkids!
Luke scouting out what everyone else got!

Ignore the TV, we were the last ones to arrive to open presents so this was our spot!

What an example!

How could my Mommy forget to post my Birthday?! Happy Birthday Luke!!

We celebrated Luke's 2nd Birthday in April by going on a train ride on the Heber Creeper. Luke absolutely loved it! He still talks about it and wants to go "more again". The next day we had a small party at Rock Canyon Park in Provo. He had some family and friends come and had lots of fun playing with them and eating his Cookie Monster cake. He also had his first kiss on his Birthday. He raised his sunglasses so he could get in close and do it right! We are hoping it was love at first sight and that he and Sammy get married one day!

May 2007 (Let's Pretend)

Grant's first real bath. The baby tub was packed up, so we had to bathe him this way. Thank goodness for baby tubs...they are so much easier!

A few of a boy's favorite things...diggers, lawn mowers, especially rides with Grandpa or trying to take off on it with a cousin, and fire works (the best are the ones you get to do when you are supposed to be going to bed)!!

Big brother, Luke feeding Grant. Grant's thinking, "who let this kid feed me? He can't even hold a bottle up right."

Spending a beautiful spring day in Utah with some of our friends before we left. We miss you guys! We miss the mountains too!

"Check me out, I've grown!" This was at Grant's 2 week check up and one of the last days we were in Utah.

This is the only way we survived moving across country after having a baby! Good thing they come like this and too bad it doesn't last longer!!

Our new addition!

Our sweet little baby is not quite this small anymore, but let's pretend I posted this 7.5 months ago!! We named him Grant because we both liked the name and Eric after my Dad. The first picture is of me after my sister, Megan, came and pampered me by doing my hair and make up. She works miracles...after just having a baby I felt beautiful! It was amazing. The last picture is of us when we first got to our home sweet home.
